The Bridal experience is one Lyndsay knows well, as she had 3 weddings within 2 years to (the same) 1 guy, Logan.  The first was an intimate wedding under an apple tree on Thanksgiving Day.  The second wedding, a destination-pop-up-traveling wedding through Paris and at a private chateau.  And the third, a large traditional wedding at a park in San Diego.
On top of that, Lyndsay’s attended 100+ weddings and has helped plan, decorate, coordinate, and officiate.  Her special talent is catching the Bridal bouquet- after the 12th one, she finally got married. All of this to say, she has a lot of experience with the wedding process.

A couple of weeks after wedding number two, a good friend had me over for dinner.  She’s been married awhile and is someone I consider to be loving, grounded, and wise.  As we sat down to eat she asked with a smile, “So, how many people are mad at you?” I was shocked- how did she know? (And the answer was at least 7.)

This conversation unraveled so much shame I was carrying about all the things that weren’t perfect, and I learned that many of my “mistakes,” happen to just about everyone and breakdowns come with the territory of weddings.  I thought it was just me.

Here’s the truth that most brides don’t tell you, being engaged and getting married is a really special time. It’s also hard. Like, hard.  You will feel big emotions you have likely not felt before- from joy and love to wondering if you are now a crazy person with a black bushel heart.

You will likely have plenty of people telling you how to fix things, why you feel what you feel, what you’re supposed to do, and although they mean well, it doesn’t help.  And that can be very lonely.

There is a transformation occurring within you, one that comes with this rite of passage. A chapter is closing, your identity is shifting, and a new version of you is being created. Your thoughts, emotions, and experiences are all guiding you.  You have the choice to lean in or try and push it to the side.  The thing is, anything pushed to the side will come out sometime.

There will be a moment- like the cake is the wrong color- a moment where something tips the scales and your inner landscape implodes. Your emotions surge, the pressure spills over, words are said that you can’t take back…. things are altered in a way that you won’t forget.  And, it doesn’t have to be so hard.

Working with a coach gives you the tools and opportunity to get ahead of moments like this and have the experience of your wedding that you dream of.

My Philosophy

It’s happening FOR you.
Weddings are a drama and emotion MAGNET.  For everyone. It’s a paradox of having everything be about you, and also none of it is actually about you.  Stuff comes up for everyone. And, whatever comes up for you is an opportunity; it’s happening for your growth, joy, and happiness.

Trust the process.

If you are good- everything is good.
Your plans could go perfectly, or things could fall apart- and when you are solid within yourself- it will be wonderful.  The deeper the work you do, the more you take care of yourself, and the clearer you are on your values and intentions- the better your wedding experience will be.
There’s a tool for that.
With the right tools, things get so easy! With so many new experiences and opportunities, let coaching provide tools to keep your focus on you, your relationship, and your special wedding celebration.
